We’ve used WordPress for well over 10 years and have seen it evolve along with the Internet and the many different devices now being used. Some of the reasons, we still like WordPress:
- It looks good on smart phones, on tablets, on computers, and smart TV’s
- WordPress handles many different kinds of media, you may wish to include on your website. Pictures, videos, brochures and other pdf files, music and sound files
- It can be easily extended with countless additional pieces of software (called themes and plugins)
- It’s free to use and modify
- It’s easy to get started with, but it can grow into very sophisticated usage
- There are many experts around, so you can always find someone able to support your website (not just us)
- Most web server hosting companies offer WordPress hosting, so you can easily leave your hosting company, if they don’t treat you well
- It makes is easy to have your website included in Google and other search engines
- It powers simple web sites and also very large and complex sites
- It has a solid security track record
- Maybe that’s why WordPress is the most widely used content management system on the Internet
